Back in Tulsa :)
We have arrived back in Tulsa today ! We left for a weekend trip to Nebraska and from there decided to go see more......which then turned into a 3 week trip ! I will have to get caught up on my blogging ! I have pictures from Nebraska , Yellowstone park and more. It was a good trip overall. God was so good to us and really met every need. Thanks to the van God had provided for us we had a place to sleep under cover instead of a tent. I don't think I would have slept a wink in some of the campgrounds if we were in a tent ! They had signs everywhere about bears ! We really wanted to see one but not at night in our campsite. There were also coyotes and wolfs to think of.
We were not lucky enough to see any. We heard of some others that had seen bears and wolfs. At one point we could have ewed and ahhed over the bear with the rest of the large crowed that gathered if we would of had binoculars. O well ! We were blessed to see lots of other animals though :) Along with the wild life we also saw many other natural sights that God has graced America with. Old faithful would be the most well known to all but there were many other sights to take in also.
Our trip was overall great ! There was one night I cried myself to sleep ( while in Gene's arms ). That same night Chad was discouraged and asked why did we ever sell our home in Marion, South Carolina. Eugene later admitted he too was truly discouraged that night. We were extremely tired that night and craved a real bed with a " real life ". The next morning though we headed straight into the day deciding that we would not allow the enemy to discourage us and receive any ground but sing the praises of our Lord. AFTER ALL THE LORD TRULY HAS BEEN GOOD TO US !!!!! We truly realize there are those who have it so much worse then us. I praise God that we are all together and have our health ! Though we might not be " the status quo " we have been enjoying many real blessings from God that I truly don't think we could have received when our life looked "perfect". There are some things that you just can't buy. The day Eugene came home saying the division was closed I had a friend email me. This friend had no idea yet what happened. ( In fact when she wrote the email that morning Gene and I didn't even know yet ) In the short email she simply shared that when praying for us she felt the Lord told her to tell us we were to enjoy the journey. Man, I had no idea then that the journey would be so long ! October will be one year sense that day. When we chose to leave Pa. we felt like we were going on a faith journey. We left in complete faith. We knew that too most it looked crazy but we needed to listen to God and not care what others think. After all it really only matters what God thinks ! I tell you what in the last 3 weeks we have been able to enjoy ourselves more then in the last year. Eugene and I were able to let go and just relish in God's creation. We spent time as a family reading the word while driving. And driving we did ! In the last 3 weeks we put on somewhere around 3,000 miles on our van ! In addition to reading the Bible we also learned great truths from a book called Crazy Love. We were given this book right before we left Pa and it has us so excited ! To just be so in love with Christ that it really doesn't matter what the world think ! I am not perfect and there are days where I get discouraged but I am choosing to continue this jorney praising my Lord and Saviour to the end. After all that is what we were created for wasn't it ?
Blessings~
